I posted this video (shooting, editing, and music courtesy of my new cellphone) on YouTube for people in the CrossFit community to critique my deadlift form. CrossFit posts a workout of the day (WOD) every day, which I have been following for nearly a year now. I attribute this (and eating a much improved diet) to my recent fitness and energy gains.
The WOD for this day was seven deadlifts, with rest between each single lift. The idea was to start low and finish high, but I fear I peaked too soon. The broomstick lift was to emphasize form for the 'coaches'. So I lifted 155 lbs, 175, 195, 225, 205, broomstick, 205. My personal record is 235.
This is a bit of an experiment, seeing how the video comes out on the blog.
