7 Days To Go!

Fundraising has been fantastic in the last few days, with over $1000 coming in! I still have over $1600 to go to reach my goal of $7500. Honestly, a few months back I didn't think I would reach that goal. Now, with your help, I know we'll pass it!

I'll be training hard this weekend, with back-to-back long rides (including one day of about 150 km). Next week I'll be taking it easy, with just a few short rides to stay in the game.

Some friends have asked for a "vegan" fundraising option. This is because money donated for research purposes may incorporate animal trials. I absolutely respect this. Anyone interested, please email me.

I'll also be writing names on my hand in honour of those fighting cancer and in memory of those who lost the battle. If you would like me to write someone's name on my hand, please let me know. I already have 27 names.

If anyone will be in the area next weekend, I'd love to see you at a cheering station or the finish line. Contact me for more info!

Ride on!

Hey Bob. I'm glad to hear that you are still well! Awesome. Would you please add my brother Gary, who is fighting liver cancer, to your hand? I would be so grateful. Also, I would like to make a donation in support of your effort. How do I do that?

Sorry Bob, the previous comment is from Patricia in Nashville.

To Patricia in Nashville:

It is very easy to support Bob's RCC and can be done safely on line. Just click on "Make a Donation" in the right hand column of his blog page. This will take you directly to Bob's page and you can follow the links to make a donation. You will require a credit card to do this. If you do not wish to go this route, just print off a donation form, fill it out and mail it along with your cheque to the address shown on the form. All monies will be credited to Bob's account even if they arrive late.

Thank you for your continued support and for your donation. I know you are following Bob's progress as I have read your many posts.

Give our best to your brother. I will convey your message re: adding Gary's name to the list of names Bob will be writing on his hand. I also have a couple of names to add.

Bob's Mom, Jean

PS. I hope you don't mind my answering your query. Bob and family are very busy these last few days before the ride event.

For sure we are lovin' our little Matty. I'm looking forward to seeing him this weekend. We last saw him in March and that's TOO-OO long ago.

Thank you, once again, for your thoughtfulness.
